ទិដ្ឋភាពទូទៅ

This is the classic survey traverse: walking the parcel boundary corner to corner and recording each leg's direction and length.

ការប្រើប្រាស់

  • Three outputs are produced from one run, and all three are required parameters:
OutputUse
Output Traverse TableThe tabular leg-by-leg bearing and distance list
Output Edge LinesEach boundary segment as its own line feature, attributed with its bearing and distance
Output Legal Description Text FileA plain-text metes-and-bounds description
  • Bearing Format selects how bearings are expressed:
    • Decimal Degrees (default) — for calculation and spreadsheets.
    • DMS — degrees, minutes, seconds, as used on titles and legal documents.
  • Distance Unit Label sets the unit the distances are labelled with. The tool does not reproject — the label must match the units of the parcel layer's coordinate system. Labelling a layer in metres as Feet produces numerically correct but wrongly labelled output.
  • The parcel layer must be in a projected coordinate system. Bearings and distances taken from a geographic coordinate system are not survey quantities.
  • Output Edge Lines is the layer to label when a map sheet must show a bearing and distance against each boundary line. See Display Line Bearing and Direction for map labelling from existing geometry.

Parameters for Bearing Distance Calc
ឈ្មោះប្រភេទទិន្នន័យការពិពណ៌នា
Input Parcel LayerFeature Layer

The parcel layer whose boundaries are traversed. Must use a projected coordinate system.

Parcel ID FieldField

The field identifying each parcel. Carried onto every output so legs can be grouped by parcel.

Distance Unit LabelString

The unit label applied to the distances. Must match the units of the input's coordinate system.

  • Millimeters
  • Centimeters
  • Meters (default)
  • Kilometers
  • Inches
  • Feet
  • Yards
  • Miles
Bearing FormatString

How bearings are expressed. Default is Decimal Degrees.

  • Decimal Degrees
  • DMS — degrees, minutes, seconds
Output Traverse TableTable

The table listing each boundary leg with its bearing and distance.

Output Edge LinesFeature Class

A line feature class in which each boundary segment is a separate feature, attributed with its bearing and distance.

Output Legal Description Text FileFile

A plain-text metes-and-bounds description of each parcel boundary.

របៀបប្រើ

  1. Confirm the parcel layer uses a projected coordinate system.
  2. On the KGA Toolbox tab, in the Geoprocessing group, open the Cadastral Tools gallery and click Bearing Distance Calc.
  3. Set Input Parcel Layer and Parcel ID Field.
  4. Set Distance Unit Label to the unit the layer's coordinate system actually uses.
  5. Set Bearing Format — choose DMS for legal documents, Decimal Degrees for calculation.
  6. Set all three outputs: Output Traverse Table, Output Edge Lines, and Output Legal Description Text File.
  7. Click Run.
  8. Add Output Edge Lines to the map and label it to annotate each boundary with its bearing and distance.
