Polygon to Map Series

A map series sheet typically shows a parcel outline, its numbered corner points, and a coordinate table. This tool produces the corner points and boundary lines together, with attribute control over which output inherits the parcel's fields.

ការប្រើប្រាស់

  • The input must be a polygon layer. The Choose ID Field value links every generated point and line back to its parent parcel.
  • Output Point Feature Class is always produced. The line output is optional — check Create Line from Polygon? to enable Output Line Feature Class.
  • Preserve Attribute for? controls which outputs inherit the polygon's attribute fields. The list of available choices adapts to whether line output is enabled:

  • Calculate XY? and Calculate LatLon? are independent. Check both to write projected coordinates and decimal-degree coordinates into the same point output — useful when one sheet has to report both.
  • When the input polygon lives in a geodatabase, Output Line Feature Class is pre-filled as <input>_line in the same workspace.

Choose ID FieldField

The parcel identifier field. Carried onto every generated point and line so outputs can be related back to the parcel.

The boundary-point feature class to create.

Create Line from Polygon?ជម្រើសBoolean

Enables line output.

  • Checked — Output Line Feature Class is enabled.
  • Unchecked (default) — No line output is produced.

The boundary-line feature class to create. Required when Create Line from Polygon? is checked. Defaults to <input>_line.

Preserve Attribute for?ជម្រើសString

Selects which outputs inherit the polygon's attribute fields. Available choices depend on whether line output is enabled.

Adds and populates projected X/Y coordinate fields on the point output.

Adds and populates latitude and longitude fields, in decimal degrees, on the point output.

របៀបប្រើ

  1. On the KGA Toolbox tab, in the Data Creation group, open the Conversion Tool gallery and click Polygon to Map Series.
  2. Set Input Polygon Feature to the parcel layer.
  3. Set Choose ID Field to the parcel number field.
  4. Set Output Point Feature Class.
  5. To also produce boundary lines, check Create Line from Polygon? and confirm Output Line Feature Class.
  6. Set Preserve Attribute for? according to which output needs the parcel attributes.
  7. Check Calculate XY?, Calculate LatLon?, or both, depending on what the map sheet must report.
  8. Click Run.
