ទិដ្ឋភាពទូទៅ

Spot heights are the labelled elevation marks on a topographic sheet. This tool produces them without manual digitising and elevation lookup.

ការប្រើប្រាស់

  • The tool has two modes, selected with Use Existing Point?:
    • Unchecked (generate points) — Supply Input Study Area and Number of Spot Height. The tool distributes that many points across the study area polygon and samples elevation at each one.
    • Checked (use existing points) — Supply Input Existing Point Feature. The tool samples elevation at the existing point locations. Number of Spot Height is ignored.
  • Input Elevation Raster Layer must cover the study area or point extent. Points falling outside the raster receive no elevation value.
  • Input Study Area accepts polygon features only; Input Existing Point Feature accepts point features only.
  • Number of Spot Height controls point density, not spacing. A large study area with a small count produces widely separated spot heights.
  • Elevation values carry the vertical units of the source raster. The tool does not convert between feet and metres.

Parameters for Spot Height
ឈ្មោះប្រភេទទិន្នន័យការពិពណ៌នា
Use Existing Point?ជម្រើសBoolean

Selects the input mode.

  • Checked — Elevation is sampled at the locations in Input Existing Point Feature.
  • Unchecked (default) — Points are generated inside Input Study Area.
Input Study Areaជម្រើសFeature Set

The polygon defining where spot heights are generated. Required when Use Existing Point? is unchecked. Polygon geometry only.

Input Existing Point Featureជម្រើសFeature Set

The point features to populate with elevation. Required when Use Existing Point? is checked. Point geometry only.

Input Elevation Raster Layerជម្រើសRaster Layer

The elevation raster sampled for Z values. Must cover the area of interest.

Number of Spot Heightជម្រើសLong

How many spot height points to generate. Used only when Use Existing Point? is unchecked.

Output Spot Height Feature Classជម្រើសFeature Class

The point feature class that receives the sampled elevation values.

របៀបប្រើ

Generate spot heights across an area

  1. Add the elevation raster and a study-area polygon to the map.
  2. On the KGA Toolbox tab, in the Spatial Analysis group, open the Spatial Analysis menu and click Spot Height.
  3. Leave Use Existing Point? unchecked.
  4. Set Input Study Area to the boundary polygon.
  5. Set Input Elevation Raster Layer.
  6. Set Number of Spot Height to the number of marks the sheet needs.
  7. Set Output Spot Height Feature Class and click Run.

Populate elevation onto existing points

  1. Open the tool and check Use Existing Point?.
  2. Set Input Existing Point Feature to the point layer.
  3. Set Input Elevation Raster Layer.
  4. Set Output Spot Height Feature Class and click Run.

ព័ត៌មានអាជ្ញាបណ្ណ
