This tool has no parameters. It acts on the active map view.

This is the only Go-to tool that carries your actual layers across. The others open a website at the map location; this one hands Google Earth Pro the features themselves, so the data is draped over the imagery in 3D.

Google Earth Pro must be installed. The tool looks for googleearth.exe in the standard install locations: C:\Program Files\Google\Google Earth Pro\client\googleearth.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google Earth Pro\client\googleearth.exe If it is installed elsewhere, the tool cannot launch it.

  • The tool has no dialog. It writes KML files into a bridge folder under KGA_Toolbox\GoogleEarthBridge in the user profile, then launches Google Earth Pro on them.
  • The KML is a snapshot. Editing the features in ArcGIS Pro afterwards does not update what Google Earth Pro is showing — run the tool again to refresh.
  • Layers are exported in WGS 84, as KML requires. Data in a projected coordinate system is reprojected during export.
  • The tool reports an error if there is no active map view.

របៀបប្រើ

  1. Zoom and pan the map to the area you want to open.
  2. On the KGA Toolbox tab, in the unnamed Go-to group, open the Maps gallery and click To Google Earth Pro.
  3. The map view is exported to KML and Google Earth Pro opens with the features draped over the imagery.
  4. To refresh after editing, run the tool again.
