Boundary Conflict Check

Two neighbouring parcels should describe their common boundary identically. Where they do not, one of the two surveys is wrong, and the discrepancy will surface later as an overlap or a gap. This tool finds those disagreements before they do.

- Three independent tolerances control what counts as a conflict. Each has a survey-realistic default:

- Tighten the tolerances for high-precision survey data and loosen them for digitised legacy mapping. Tolerances set too tight on old data flood the output with noise; set too loose, real conflicts are missed.
- Input Parcel Layer accepts polygon layers only.
- Spatial Reference is optional. Leave it blank to work in the input layer's own coordinate system. The layer should already be projected — the length and coordinate tolerances are expressed in metres, which is meaningless against a geographic coordinate system.
- The output is a feature class of the conflict locations, which can be symbolised and worked through as a correction list.

របៀបប្រើ
- Confirm the parcel layer uses a projected coordinate system in metres.
- On the KGA Toolbox tab, in the Geoprocessing group, open the Cadastral Tools gallery and click Boundary Conflict Check.
- Set Input Parcel Layer and Parcel ID Field.
- Set Output Conflict Layer.
- Review the three tolerances. Accept the defaults for standard survey data; loosen them for digitised legacy mapping.
- Click Run.
- Add the output to the map and work through the flagged locations, correcting whichever of the two parcels is in error.
