Parcel numbers must be unique. Duplicates arise from copy-paste digitising, from merging datasets, and from renumbering — and they break every join and report that depends on the number.

  • Field to Check is the field tested for repeated values, normally the parcel number field.
  • Three display options work together to make duplicates visible on the map:

Labelling for duplicate only?Restricts labels to the duplicates, so the map is not cluttered by every parcel number
Highlight duplicate?Applies a highlight symbol to the duplicates
  • Checking Labelling for duplicate only? automatically enables Select duplicate and Labelling? — labelling only the duplicates requires them to be identified first.
  • The tool reports duplicates; it does not renumber them. Correcting the numbers is a manual editing step, or use ID Generator to renumber a set systematically.
  • For duplicate detection on any layer and field, including duplicate geometry rather than duplicate attributes, use Find Duplicate.

របៀបប្រើ

  1. On the KGA Toolbox tab, in the Geoprocessing group, open the Cadastral Tools gallery and click Duplicate Finder.
  2. Set Input Feature to check to the parcel layer.
  3. Set Field to Check to the parcel number field.
  4. Check Select duplicate and Labelling?, Labelling for duplicate only?, and Highlight duplicate? so the duplicates stand out on the map.
  5. Click Run.
  6. Zoom to the selection and correct the duplicated numbers, either by editing directly or with ID Generator.
