Duplicate field values and duplicate geometry are different problems, and this tool handles both from one dock pane.

The tool opens as a dock pane, so it stays open beside the map while you work through the results.
Detection Mode decides what counts as a duplicate: These catch different faults. A parcel digitised twice has duplicate geometry but may have two different parcel numbers; two parcels mistakenly given the same number have duplicate values but different geometry. Run both modes.

Mode	Finds
`Duplicate Field Value`	Features sharing the same value in the field chosen under Field Options
`Duplicate Geometry`	Features whose shapes coincide, within the Tolerance set under Geometry Options

Include NULL values decides whether features with no value are treated as duplicates of one another. Usually leave it unchecked — two features that are both simply unrecorded are not really duplicates, and including nulls can swamp the result.
Tolerance (in map units) applies to geometry mode. Two shapes are rarely numerically identical after editing, so a small tolerance is needed to catch real duplicates. Start small and increase it only if known duplicates are being missed — too large a tolerance starts matching genuinely distinct neighbouring features.
The Actions are deliberately ordered from safe to destructive:

Select Features	Selects the duplicates in the map
Highlight	Highlights them on the map
Zoom To	Zooms to a duplicate so it can be inspected
Export Duplicates	Writes the duplicates out as a record
Delete Duplicates	Permanently removes them

Use Delete Duplicates with care. Export the duplicates first, so there is a record of what was removed, and inspect a sample with Zoom To before deleting — a "duplicate" by geometry may be a legitimate stacked feature such as a building over a parcel.

Field	The field tested for repeated values. Field-value mode only.
Include NULL values	Treats features with no value as duplicates of one another.
Tolerance	The coincidence tolerance, in map units. Geometry mode only.
Find Duplicates	Runs the detection.
Select Features	Selects the duplicates in the map.
Highlight	Highlights the duplicates.
Zoom To	Zooms to a duplicate for inspection.
Export Duplicates	Writes the duplicates to a new dataset.
Delete Duplicates	Permanently deletes the duplicates.

On the KGA Toolbox tab, in the Data Management group, open the Feature menu and click Find Duplicate. The dock pane opens.
Set Layer.
Set Detection Mode to Duplicate Field Value and choose the Field. Leave Include NULL values unchecked.
Click Find Duplicates, then Select Features to see them on the map.
Click Export Duplicates to keep a record before changing anything.
Use Zoom To to inspect several results and confirm they are genuine duplicates.
Fix them by editing, or click Delete Duplicates if removal is appropriate.
Switch Detection Mode to Duplicate Geometry, set a small Tolerance, and repeat — this catches a different class of fault.
